Thanksgiving Baseball Camp

80 Players to 20 Coaches,
It was a fun learning environment for the day.
The Morning Session was a station-to-station progression that started with:

Team stretch and activation
-
Base-running. Leads, Stealing and how to effectively run/ round the bases.

Introduction to higher level 'arm care' plus 'cues' that are important in regards to effectively throwing a baseball.

Throwing Program with Target Practice challenge
-
Outfield play. How to use the 'pro-step' in transferring the baseball from catching to throwing.

Infield play. Fundamental Progression with our hands into footwork around the baseball, finishing up with effectively turning Double plays.
The Afternoon Session was all about Offense:
For the younger group, we took a 'pro-style' batting practice that involved.

Live Defense Stations

Live Baserunning Stations (Reading the ball and getting as many repetitions on the base paths as possible)

Then we finished the day with a Wiffle Ball Tournament -
For the Older Group, we started in the batting cages focusing on:

Bunting (finer points and different types)

Introduction to Ballistic training by executing hitting progressions with weighted-balls

Tee Drills. Learning the subtleties of your swing

Off the Machine - Executing consistent timing and rhythm, from on deck to in the box​-
Which prepared us for:

Live Batting Practice
